Layout Tiles Geometrically

Acoustic Layout Tiles Geometrically

You have to measure the room below.

You check Layout Room Geometrically, then measure the room as you normally would. The EDGE draws the “tight rectangle” around the area, your screen would be very similar to the one at right.

Behind the scene The EDGE centers the room based on the tight rectangle. If we could see it might look like the sample to the right

Layout Geometrically Logic:

If any part of a tile falls within the perimeter of the room the following logic applied to determine what portion of the tile is included.
– If ≤ 10% of a tile is within the tight rectangle then the tile is not counted at all.
– If 10% to 49.999% of the tile falls within the tight rectangle then 1/2 a tile is counted.
– If ≥ 50% of the tile falls within the tight rectangle then a full tile is included

Additional Information

In the example given, the grid only centers itself when the edge tile overhang is greater than one-half of the tile size. If the edge tile overhang is less than or equal to one-half the tile size the grid shifts a half tile before calculating.
